एसो पञ्च णमोक्कारो This five fold obeisance
सव्व पवाप्पणसण Is the destroyer of all sins
मंगलाणं च सव्वेसिं Of all that is auspicious
पढमं हवाई मंगलम This is foremost
MEANING
I offer my obeisance to Arithantas ,the perfect embodied souls,to Siddhas , the perfect souls in Nirvana , to acaryas, the masters of adepts, the upadhyayas, the scholarly ascetics and to all the sadhus, the ascetics devoted to the contemplation of the self. This five fold obeisance is the destroyer of all sins and is foremost among all that is auspicious.

jaina religion and culture occupies a unique place in Indian culture and namaskara sutra or popularly known as the namaskara mantra , is the heart of jaina faith,religion and culture.Jainism is out and out a spiritual faith and more than a religion it is a way of life .It is not based on any dogma or blind faith.Hence this namaskara sutra too is a spiritual mantra,Jaina beliefs and practices resonate through this great mantra.For the jains,nothing is greater than this mantra.For the jains,nothing is greater than this mantra.Unlike other mantras,this mantra offers salution to worthy souls, and not to one particular deity.Instead of personal worship, personality worship is given prime importance. It is also called paramesthi pantra. All the saints who have become pure and perfect are supreme i.e paramesthis.
